TVJGL Open Medals

TVJGL Open Medals are organised by member clubs to encourage junior golfers to play in competitions at courses in addition to their own. Each club organises one 18-hole open medal per year. The competitions have an entry fee of £5, payable on registration. All of the money collected in entry fees will be distributed in prizes. The distribution of prizes will be decided by the host club.

Any junior golfer wanting to enter a TVJGL Open Medal should inform their Junior Organiser, so that they can provide advance information to the host Junior Organiser of estimated numbers and likely participants and handicaps.

2024 TVJGL Open Medals Order of Merit:

The league will again be running an order of merit across the 2023 TVJGL Open Medals. Prizes will be as follows:

• There will be prizes for 1^st, 2^nd,  3^rd and 4th places (£60, £40, £30 and £20)

• The top four net results over the ten Open Medals for each junior will count towards the final OOM

• Double points will be awarded for non-members of the host club

Points will be awarded for the following finishes:

1st - 10 points    2nd - 8 points    3rd - 7 points    4th - 6 points    5th - 5 points    6th - 4 points    7th - 3 points

All other competitors (excluding NR and DQ) - 2 points
